CHARD CLOKS will be performing 'A Pudding for the Chimney Sweep' in December to help fund their 2015 summer production Guys and Dolls.

The story tells the tale of help to save Mrs Perkins' pie shop which is in serious trouble.

Orphan Lizzie has an old, secret recipe from her grandmother that she shares with her friends and together they start to help Mrs Perkins pick up business. But all is not well. The little orphan chimney boy Jim isn’t having a good time either - constantly being pushed around by the grumpy, bad tempered chimney sweep Bovie. Meanwhile in the local factory the workers aren’t quite as happy and content as the owner Mr Mortimer thinks they are.

So when evil apprentice Quigley gets together with Boyle and the secret pie recipe is goes missing poor little Jim gets blamed!

Will the mystery of the missing recipe be solved before Christmas day?

A Pudding for the Chimney Sweep will take place on December 5 and 6 at Combe St Nicholas Church, 7.30pm.

Admission is free but donations are welcome. There will be refreshments and a raffle.

CLOKS’ will also be singing at The Ferne Animal sanctuary on the December 3.
