SWIMMERS from Chard and District Swimming Club made a splash at the Olympic Pool in London.
Nearly 50 club members and their parents and friends took over the competition pool. Club treasurer Pat Riley organised the trip after a visit earlier this year.
He said: “Needless to say everyone from the swimmers, their families and the poolside coaches had an amazing experience on the day.
“Around half of those who went stayed on after the two-hour session in the Olympic Pool to try out the diving boards used by Tom Daley.”
Some members train up to six times a week at the Flamingo Pool in Axminster and Pat said the trip was a reward for their hard work.
