THE Friends of Springmead Surgery (FOSS) have made a donation of over £6,000 towards major improvements at the Chard medical practice.
Over the years, FOSS has helped to buy many items of medical equipment for the surgery, but this is the first time it has funded other improvements.
FOSS chairman Diana Packham said: “We decided to fund new chairs in both the waiting room and consulting rooms, and an automatic internal door in the surgery, because all patients will benefit from these improvements.
“I’m particularly pleased with how smart the new chairs look and how well the new door works.”
Martin Daly, Springmead’s practice manager, said: “We were delighted when FOSS decided to fund these improvements for us.
“The new chairs and new door have made the surgery more accessible and comfortable for all our patients, and we thank them for their generosity.”
