Sports leadership award for two Holyrood students

TWO students from Holyrood Community School in Chard have gained a nationally accredited sports leadership award.

Sixth formers Scott Miller and Darren Wells-Burr achieved the Community Sports Leader Award after a year-long course developing communication, organisation and health and safety skills through sport.

Scott and Darren worked with Holyrood's PE department assisting classes in the younger year groups and also officiated at primary school festivals and helped their local football club.
