WOMEN drivers in the area will have the chance to show off their skills in the Marie Curie Ladies Driving Challenge.
The cancer charity is calling on ladies in the area to take part in the event to raise sponsorship money to drive a variety of vehicles from steam engines to Second World War vehicles.
Police cars, 4x4s and fire engines will also be available for the challenge, which is due to take place at RNAS Merryfield, nr Ilton, on March 3.
Entrants must have a full UK driving license and raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.
The event coincides with the Marie Curie Cancer Care Great Daffodil Appeal and the charity is also looking for volunteers to help with the month long fundraising drive.
All money raised will go towards the Marie Curie Cancer Care nursing service in Somerset, which provides hands on free of charge service to cancer patients in their own homes.
For information call 01460-271230 or email email julia.chapman@mariecurie.org.uk or Daniel.pierson@mariecurie.org.uk.
