2:43pm Tuesday 12th December 2006 in Chard By Joanna Glover
RECYCLING road shows will be taking place in Chard next week to help people find out more about recycling.
South Somerset District Council will be hosting the road shows, which will take place at Chard Tesco from 10am-4pm on Monday and Wednesday December 18 and 20.
South Somerset has the highest rate of recycling in Somerset and further road shows are planned in the district to increase this even more.
Cllr Jo Roundell Greene, SSDC portfolio holder for environment and waste said: "What we have achieved in South Somerset is wonderful, to reach such a high recycling rate is down to a lot of hard work.
"Residents of South Somerset are due praise having helped by placing out their little brown bins and black boxes to be collected weekly."
Members of the public are urged to visit the road show, or contact the Recycling Department at SSDC for further information on 01935-462462 or click on the link below.
