Santa double act boosts school fair

PARENTS and children packed in to Avishayes Primary School in Chard last week for a Christmas fundraising fayre.

Organised by Avishayes' parents, teachers and friends association, the annual event raises money for school funds.

Tasty attractions included a cake stall and a chocolate fountain while there was also face painting and a host of items for sale.

There was even a visit from Father Christmas and Mrs Christmas, who were brought to the school in a fire engine from Chard Fire Station.
