Man arrested after running from police

A MAN was arrested last week in Chard after attempting to evade the police.
The man was arrested in Summerfield Road last Tuesday (Feb 19) after running from the police as they approached and was later seen attempting to dispose of a quantity of white powder believed to be Class A drugs.
He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries and forensic analysis of the substance.
