AN investigation is underway after a house went up in flames in Chard.

Firefighters were called to the two-storey terraced property in Chesterfield at 8.30pm last night (December 1) and also found a lean attached to the side of the property well alight.

The owners were comforted by volunteers from the Fire Emergency Support Service.

A spokesman from the fire service said the fire was out shortly before 10pm and the cause is still being investigated.
