POLICE uncovered a £26,000 cannabis factory at a property in Thorncombe following a raid on Monday night.

Officers from Lyme Regis, Bridport and Weymouth carried out the drugs warrant along with a police dog and support of the force helicopter.

A police spokesman said: “A large quantity of cannabis plants and cultivation equipment were found at the address.”

They said that 67 mature plants were found with a street value of £26k.

A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of “cultivating a controlled substance” and has been bailed pending further investigations.
