JEWELLERY including a distinctive set of rosary beads (pictured) has been stolen in a burglary in North Perrott.
At the head of the rosary is a cross with oval images of religious figures on a pink and blue background.
A police spokesman said: “Several rings were also stolen as well as a gold leaf brooch, a silver filigree yacht brooch and a silver antique powder compact.”
The burgalry happened on Wednesday, August 8, and a man has been arrested in connection with the incident and charged and bailed pending further enquiries.
Police have asked the public for help in tracing the stolen items of jewellery, which are of great sentimental value to the owners.
“We would like to hear from anyone who has any information about these items or may have been offered them for sale locally,” the spokesman added.
Contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800-555111.
