Chimney fire at Hewish

ONE fire engine from Chard was mobilised this morning (Friday) to deal with a chimney fire.

The alarm was raised at just before 10.30am to a property in Hewish, West Crewkerne, and on arrival officers found the fire to be within a rayburn that had caught a beam on fire.

The occupier had put the fire out by the time the officers had got there.
