THIS year’s Somerset Business Awards have been officially launched at Bath and West Show.

The 14 annual award categories, which recognise business success and are backed by the Somerset County Gazette, were unveiled and the call for nominations opened by Rupert Cox, Chief Executive of the Somerset Chamber of Commerce.

He was joined by the Countess of Wessex, who is also president of the Bath and West Show.

Mr Cox said: “We are delighted and honoured that the Countess of Wessex attended the launch of the Somerset Business Awards.

“The Awards represent a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Somerset businesses. They showcase the talent and entrepreneurialism in the area and encourage best practice in business.

“Great businesses and great opportunities are brought together at the Somerset Business Awards.”

The awards are sponsored by Albert Goodman, one of Somerset’s leading accountancy firms and are open to business of all types and sizes.
