THE possibility of wind turbines going up in fields around Donyatt was raised at the village parish council meeting on Monday.
The News revealed last week that a Government initiative may see turbines built on Somerset County Council land.
Donyatt is home to several county farms, and parish council clerk Heather Bryant said: "If this did go ahead it would be a very long process with full consultation in October, 2007.
"I think it will bring a mixed bag of views."
A meeting on the issue is set to take place with the county council executive on July 27.
