YOUNG army cadets from Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne helped to celebrate the movement’s 150th anniversary on Sunday.
They were among 800 youngsters from the Somerset Cadet Forces who gathered in Taunton to mark the event.
Members of the Sea Cadet Corps, the Army Cadet Force, the Air Training Corps and the Combined Cadet Force marched through the town, watched by civic dignitaries, senior military officers, family and friends.
They also entertained the crowds with various drills and military displays, accompanied by music from school and cadet bands from across the county.
