AUCTIONEERS Lawrences of Crewkerne will be running a fundraising antiques valuation day at Ferne Animal Sanctuary, near Chard, next Thursday (June 24).
Four specialists will visit the animal centre to tell visitors how much their silver, jewellery, militaria and general antiques are worth.
Ferne’s director Jenny Wheadon said: “So many people in the local area have items at home with a history and value just waiting to be uncovered by the experts from Lawrences of Crewkerne.
“This event gives them a chance to find out more about some of their favourite pieces, in the beautiful setting of the sanctuary.”
The event starts at 11am and will also include cream teas, a cake stall and a prize raffle.
Entry is free but a minimum donation of £1 per valued item is asked, with a maximum of three items per specialist.
