TALENTED members of a Chard mental health group have been working together to create an eye-catching mosaic for NHS Somerset.
Ten members of the Chard Intentional Peer Support Group produced the mosaic, which depicts a phoenix rising from a pair of outstretched hands, with the help of Crewkerne sculptor and artist Richard Langford.
It was presented to Edward Colgan, chief executive of the Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, at the Holly Court mental health facility, in Yeovil, on Friday, June 4.
He said: “The work of the group is very much focussed upon members supporting each other through their recovery process, and what better way to help this process than by sharing in a creative project that led to this mosaic.
“It will now be in a location where it can give inspiration to all those who see it.”
