THE first Tuesday of every month is becoming a special shopping day in Ilminster – and that’s official!
Traders have joined forces to offer shoppers the chance to win super prizes on the first Tuesday of every month – all people have to do is to visit any of the participating businesses and enter a draw.
Congratulations go to Julie Fowler, of Ilminster, the latest lucky draw winner who has received £100 of First Tuesday vouchers to spend at any business taking part in the initiative.
Julie, who is well-known in the area as president of Ilminster Rotary Club, entered the draw at Mark Hebron’s Hairdressing.
Her ticket was pulled out of the hat by Yvonne Foulsham, head of home at Vaughan Lee House.
The prize for the First Tuesday event next month – on June 2 – is a £150 Chelmer bird table from Lanes Garden Shop available in the colour of the winner’s choice and delivered to their door.
All shops and businesses taking part in the event will have green and blue balloons outside their premises.
The message from First Tuesday organisers is simple: “Come to Ilminster on June 2 – everyone is invited!”
