TAUNTON'S Obridge Viaduct was closed for the second time in a day (Thursday, September 20) and a woman was taken to hospital following a car crash on the bridge.
Police closed the road from the Wickes roundabout to Priorswood roundabout, although the road was re-opened by around 11pm.
The strong winds and heavy rainfall caused large puddles in parts of the road such as Priorswood roundabout.
A spokesman for South Western Ambulance Service, said: "We were called at 8.35pm to reports of a three vehicle crash.
"One female patient suffered minor injuries.
"We attended with one ambulance and one rapid response vehicle.
"The patient was taken to Musgrove Park Hospital for treatment."

The stretch of road was closed earlier on Thursday following a police incident in which there was concern for a person's welfare.
