A PASSENGER with learning difficulties was sexually assaulted by another man on a train in Somerset.

The victim was sitting in a carriage on the train between Weston-super-Mare and Brisol Temple Meads when another man sat down opposite him.

That man took off his shoe and proceeded to touch the victim inappropriately with his foot, leaving the latter "very distressed", according to British Transport Police.

BTP have now issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident at around 8pm on Saturday, July 7.

A spokesman said: "Officers would like to speak to the man in this image as they believe he may have information which could help the investigation."
