WADHAM School has continued to be ‘good’ following a one-day Ofsted inspection last month.

In a report published on June 11, inspectors confirmed that the the school has remained good since its last inspection, David Derbyshire, headteacher, said: “I am very proud of the students at Wadham School. In conversation with inspectors I was told that the students were delightful.

“Inspectors enjoyed talking with them and valued their ability to engage in dialogue.

“My colleagues and I will ensure we use the findings of this inspection to improve further our service to them and the communities we serve.”

Progress being made by students, particularly in English and Maths, was noted while there was a need to improve consistency across all subjects, especially for disadvantaged students.

The school was highlighted as friendly, but a recognition that more can be done after feedback on bullying.
