Severe warnings have been issued by the Environment Agency for Allerford in West Somerset, as well as Doniford Stream near Williton, and there are also a number issued on the Somerset Levels.
There are also flood alerts issued across Bridgwater, Burnham, Taunton and the much of the surrounding area which caution people to be prepared as there is a risk of flooding.
Much of the heaviest rain came in yesterday afternoon and evening (Good Friday) but the weather is unlikely to dramatically improve over the next couple of days.
The Met Office forecast has yellow weather warnings for rain in place for Easter Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday.
Today is likely to be cold, breezy and rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain and some more snow for those on higher ground. It should slowly turn brighter and drier this afternoon and into this evening.
Tomorrow will be bright and dry with a few sunny spells although Cornwall and Devon are likely to experience some heavy rain and that is likely to reach Somerset in the evening.
Easter Monday also looks set for some heavy rain in the morning, becoming showers during the day.
