A BLIND man has been left shaken after his guide dog was subjected to a terrifying four-minute attack by a pit bull type dog.
Police have issued an image of a man they wish to talk to as they believe he may be able to help us with their enquiries into the incident.
The attack happened on Tuesday last week (January 30) between 9.30am and 10am in Milton Road, near the junction with Ewart Road, Weston-super-Mare.
A man was walking two brown pit bull type dogs, one of which attacked the blind man's black Labrador.
The incident lasted about four minutes, and the owner of the Labrador had to take his guide dog to a vet for treatment.
The blind man described it as a “frightening experience” and is still shaken.
The man walking the two pit-bull type dogs is described as white, in his late teens, of thin build and approximately 5ft 4in tall with dark hair.
Police want to speak to any witnesses or anyone who recognises the man in the image or his description.
