FIRE crews have rushed to a home in Chard after reports of a washing machine on fire.
Three fire engines from Chard and Ilminster were sent to the scene in Coker Way at 10.30am on Saturday (September 23).
On arrival, the fire crews found smoke believed to be coming from washing machine and got to work to investigate.
Crews isolated the electrical supply, and confirmed the fire was out.
Devon and Somerset fire and rescue service confirmed there was only one per cent smoke damage caused as a result of the incident.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
