BUS users were left scratching their heads after a hoax Facebook page claimed buggies and prams will be banned from First bus services.
Facebook group First Buses shared the post last night, poking fun at people who use public transport.
Most people were not fooled by the post but others were not so sure and said: 'Surely this is a joke'?
The post has been shared more than 12,000 times on Facebook.
Offensive remarks were made about mothers and their children and claimed "passengers complain in their droves daily about having their journeys spoiled by Londsdale-clad yummy mummies.”
The post added: "Passengers please be aware that as of September 1 2017, all prams and pushchairs will be banned on all services
"Buggies and prams will still be allowed, provided they are folded up. We trust these measures meet with the approval of our loyal patrons."
The Buses of Somerset was moved to post on social media to inform its customers that the post was a hoax in an effort to reassure customers that pushchairs will still be accepted on their services.
"There is a hoax post being shared on Facebook, stating that First plan to ban prams and pushchairs from September 1 2017.
"We can confirm that this is not true, passengers with prams and pushchairs can continue to use our services " the spokesman said.
