A FLOWER shop in Ilminster is selling raffle tickets in order to raise money for two good causes.

Angie Blackwell, who owns Cottage Flowers, is holding a country fete on September 2 at Sunnymead, Ilton, in memory of her sister who recently passed away.

Meanwhile the store, in East Street, is selling the tickets for a Grand Raffle that will take place at the fete.

The top prize is a weekend for two at Cricket St Thomas, the second prize is a Hetty Vacuum and third prize is a bouquet every month for a year from Cottage Flowers.

As well as doing their bit for a good cause, people can enjoy a range of attractions at the event, including pony rides, a bouncy castle, skittles, a digger, children’s races and more.

Cottage Flowers will also be providing catering on the day, including a hog roast, ploughman’s and cream teas.

Entrance is £1 per person and free for children.

Proceeds from the event will go to Ilton School and the Beacon Centre at Musgrove Park Hospital.

Angie is looking for people to hold stalls or donate items, as well as a face painter for the event.

If you would like to get involved, contact Angie Blackwell at Cottage Flowers on 01460 53020, or by emailing info@cottageflowersandmore.co.uk.

Alternatively, you can visit Angie at Cottage Flowers at 8 East Street, Ilminster.

You can also arrange for donations to be picked up ahead of the event.
