ORGANISERS have closed the book on chapter two of Ilminster’s annual literary festival.
The event built on last year’s inaugural success, and saw more than 35 events being held in 19 venues across 10 days.
Gemma Verdon, festival chairman, said: “The final evening of the Ilminster Literary Festival was dedicated to the works of Dylan Thomas, held in The Minster.
“At the closing ceremony the Mayor, councillor Val Keitch, was very complimentary to the organising committee of dedicated volunteers having put on such an ambitious 10 day event showcasing Ilminster.”
The festival also featured Paddy Ashdown, Petr Horacek and General Sir Freddie Vigers.
