A VANDAL is being hunted in Chard after a streak of 'obscene' graffiti was left across the town at the weekend.
Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for information from the public after a series of incidents of criminal damage on the night of May 19 into the early hours of May 20.
Overnight, silver paint was sprayed on to walls, cars, fences, roads and footpaths in Wyatt Way, Coker Way, Furnham Close, Furnham Road, Furnham Crescent, Mount Hindrance and Thorndon Park Drive.
A police spokesman said: "Some of the graffiti was offensive and the council are now in the process of removing it.
"There are multiple victims and the cost of rectifying the damage is currently unknown but could be extensive.
"Did you see anything - anyone discarding spray paint cans or anyone buying a number of silver spray paint cans in the area?"
Sadly a lot of damage done overnight by vandals in Chard with a trail of spraypaint left. Too obscene to show photos. 5217112528 1 of 2
