TWO people have been hospitalised after fire crews were called to cut someone free from a crash near Crewkerne.

Devon and Somerset fire and rescue service were called to the crash at around 11pm on April 29 on A30.

The crash was at the junction with the A3066 in Haselbury Plucknett.

Three fire engines from Crewkerne, Yeovil and Beaminster in Dorset were sent to reports of a person trapped.

On arrival crews confirmed a two car crash with one female driver still trapped.

Both vehicles were on the road and crews got to working using hydraulic rescue equipment and electric cutting equipment.

South Western Ambulance service were called to the scene at shortly before 11pm.

Two ambulances were sent and treated one patient with a shoulder injury.

Shortly afterwards crews confirmed all persons were free and clear from the vehicles and two persons were transported to hospital in ambulances.

All injuries were minor.
