A vast array of paintings, etchings, sculptures and ceramics will be going under the hammer in May, as part of a charity drive to support Cornwall Hospice Care.

More than 90 lots have been submitted by 58 artists from across the county, and will be auctioned off by auctioneer David Lay.

Viewings are on Friday May 12, from 10am to 5pm, and on Saturday, from 10am to 3pm.

On the day doors open at 7pm with the auction starting at 8pm, and entry costs £5 including a free painted catalogue.

Sarah Newton, for Cornwall Hospice Care, said: “This is an evening not to be missed by art lovers.

"We are delighted that we have been given works by some of Cornwall’s most talented artists including Nicola Bealing, Anthony Frost, Robert Jones, Tom Leaper, Neil Pinkett, Simeon Stafford, Tim Shaw RA, Michael Strang, and Paul Wadsworth.

"We hope this auction of high quality works will raise thousands of pounds to help fund the specialist clinical care and support that we provide to people living with life limiting illnesses in Cornwall.”
