AN Ilminster man who has been charged with the rape of 12-year-old girl and of raping a second girl in Jocelyn Park has pleaded not guilty in court today.
David Dymond, 25, of Station Road, was brought before Taunton Crown Court this morning (March 27) on five counts, including rape, serious sexual assault and battery.
Dymond, who appeared by video link from HMP Bristol, entered not guilty pleas to sexual assault of a child under 13, rape of a child under the age of 13, two charges of battery, and the rape of a woman in Jocelyn Park in Chard on February 24.
The defendant will now be put on trial, which is expected to last at least four days.
Talking to Dymond, Judge David Evans said: "Your trial will take place some time in the summer. It is hoped a date can be found in or around the middle of August.
"You must attend court for your trial, so you mustn't refuse the transport available and you shouldn't fail to come into court or the courtroom."
The trial of David Dymond is set to be held later this year at Taunton Crown Court.
