DELIBERATE: Abandoned car set a blaze 'deliberately' on Avishayes Road in Chard
AN abandoned vehicle was deliberately set alight in Chard late last night.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called at 10.07pm to reports of an abandoned vehicle fire at Avishayes Road in Chard.
One fire appliance from Chard was mobilized to this incident.
A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue said: "Upon arrival crews confirmed one abandoned car fire.
"Crews extinguished the fire using one breathing apparatus and one compressed air foam branch.
"The car was completely destroyed by fire, the cause was deliberate."
