A PROPERTY in Chard was raided by police hunting for illegal drugs this morning.
Avon adn Somerset police carried out a pre-planned drugs warrant at property in Furzehill at around 8.30am today (Friday, October 14).
The warrant was a result of concerns raised by the community and information given to police by local people.
PC 4830 Barrow said: "No drugs were found and no arrests were made. However, we were able to engage positively with the person living in the property who we believe to be vulnerable.
"We are hopeful that moving forward we can resolve any problems by working with our partner agencies.
"We want people to come to us and be confident that we will listen and act on any concerns or issues they have - especially in relation to drugs.
"Drug dealing and the criminal and anti-social behaviour that comes with it will not be tolerated in the communities of Avon and Somerset."
