THE family of a motorcyclist killed in a three-vehicle road crash have released a statement this morning (Tuesday, September 27).
Raymond William Mullett, aged 69, of Ilton, died in the collision involving the red Ducati he was riding, a blue Mitsubishi and a red VW transporter.
Police are investigating the circumstances of the incident on the B3153 near Kingsweston at 10.45am on Saturday morning (September 24).
The statement from Mr Mullett's families says: “Ray was a keen motorcyclist and will be sorely missed by family and friends.
“As a family we would appeal for privacy to allow us time to come to terms with our loss.
“We would also appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to please come forward and make contact with Avon and Somerset Police.”
The road was closed for several hours following the collision while police officers carried out their investigation.
Witnesses are asked to call Avon and Somerset Police's Collision Investigation Unit on 101 giving the reference number CI/198/16.
