A STORAGE building used by the Eagle Tavern pub in Chard has suffered severe damage following a fire.
Firefighters from Chard and Ilminster attended the blaze at the pub which is located alongside the A303 shortly after 4.30pm Wednesday.
Crews managed to extinguish the fire, which started after a bonfire was lit too close to the building.
The storage building suffered severe damage and low risk asbestos was also found to be involved due to the roof construction.
No one was injured and duty of care was left with staff.
