Voting has started to elect a police and crime commissioner for Avon and Somerset.

Polling stations opened up at 7am this morning and will close at 10pm tonight.

Vying for your vote are:

  • Incumbent PCC and Independent candidate Sue Mountstevens
  • Independent candidate Kevin Phillips
  • Labour candidate Kerry Barker
  • Liberal Democrat candidate Paul Crossley
  • Green candidate Chris Briton
  • Cnservative candidate Mark Weston
  • UKIP candidate Aaron Foot

The result is expected to be announced at around 5pm tomorrow (Friday).

Across the country, 36 police and crime commissioners are being elected, as well as elections for more than 120 councils and the London Assembly and mayors in Bristol, Liverpool, London and Salford.
