PUPILS and staff at Neroche Primary School at Broadway have been helping create a giant mural.
The youngsters worked with artist Phil Creek creating a huge mural celebrating the local South Somerset area.
All 185 children and 25 members of staff contributed to the mural, with the art inspired by the work of the impressionist Robert Delaunay.
The special week of activities for the school was supported with a grant of £400 towards the project awarded by the Gooch Charitable Trust of Ilminster.
Head teacher Connel Boyle said: “At Neroche we place a huge emphasis upon the creative arts as a part of our exciting creative curriculum for pupils.
“Giving all of our pupils, from age four to age 11 the experience of working with a talented artist such as Phil Creek and the opportunity to create such a large piece of impact art has been phenomenal.
“On behalf of the children I would like to thank the Gooch Charitable Trust for their kind donation which enabled us to embark upon such a monumental project as this.”
