Swindon Lawn 47 Jupiter 46

A SPIRITED display wasn’t quite enough for Jupiter as they slipped to an agonizing one-point defeat at Swindon’s Lawn on Saturday.

A steady start and accurate shooting from Paige Davey meant the score was level at quarter time.

A step up in intensity and quick, sharp movement from Amy Shaw, combined with impressive movement and on-point shooting from player of the match Gabby Nardiello, enabled Jupiter to take a seven goal lead at half-time.

Lawn didn't give up and came back fighting in the third quarter, pushing themselves to take the lead by one.

One goal down heading into the final quarter, Jupiter knew they had to work hard and dig deep if they wanted to take the win.

Unfortunately, despite pressure from circle defence, Imma Matcham and Beckie Cowley, Jupiter were unable to get the turnovers they needed and lost out 47-46.
