HOLYROOD Academy’s new Year Seven rugby team in Chard enjoyed a successful start to their school rugby careers at Castle Cary RFC.
The team received some coaching from England rugby and club staff in the morning and then swept the board in the afternoon, winning all four games played scoring ten tries and conceding none.
Stand out performers were Captain Connor Beckey, Oscar Mills, Gabe Larter-Webber and Isaac Stanbury. The team will be hoping to repeat this success in the district championships in November.
