A DRIVING school has chosen to sponsor a youth football team after their kit had become worn and due for renewal.

Clive Adams, of Clive Adams Driving School, decided he had to sponsor Avishayes Combe under 8's in Chard after his son joined the team.

He said: "I sponsor the team as I like to sponsor a youths team and also my son Jack Adams plays for this team.

"Last season I went to his first match and could not believe the condition of the shirts they were wearing. So I decided to replace them."

The rear of the shirts were sponsored by the the Graphics factory chard who designed and printed the art work on the shirts

The Chard-based driving school business is run by Clive along with his cousins, brother and sister Maria and Richard Adams.

Clive added: "We are proud to be the only family run business in the area."

The team, who is coached by Simon Douglass and Jo Boyland, play games against fellow teams from Chard, as well as clubs from as far as Bridgwater and Yeovil.
