A CHARD councillor is nearing the end of her alcohol-free month in which she has been raising money for charity.
Cllr Amanda Broom, a member of Chard Town Council and South Somerset District Council, is hoping to have raised more than £100 for Cancer Research as she approaches the end of her Dryathlon month.
“Due to my change in job earlier in the year, I missed the chance to complete the Race for Life, so I decided to go a month without alcohol instead,” she said.
“I have managed to raise £74 so far, and have another £30 pledged so I’m course for £100, which I am really pleased about.”
If you want to give to Cancer Research via Cllr Broom, you can do so on her JustGiving Page entitled Amanda Broom’s Dryathalon Page.
