EMERGENCY services were called to a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A303 this afternoon with a person trapped in a car in a ditch.
Paramedics, police and fire engines from Martock, Ilminster and the rescue tender from Yeovil were sent to the incident on the A303 West between South Petherton to Southfields just before 2.30pm.
Crews arrived on scene and got to work setting up road rescue cutting equipment, working alongside paramedics and the police.
Crews removed the door of the vehicle to remove the casualty.
Paramedics also dealt with one walking wounded casualty.
Crews made the vehicle and scene safe using small tools and one hose reel jet.
