JASON Paul Gardiner and Keri Louise Sweet, both of Chard, were married at the Shrubbery Hotel, Ilminster, on March 17.

The bridegroom, a warehouse assistant with C&D Southwest Ltd, is the third son of Janet Mainwaring of Chard and the late Leslie Gardiner.

The bride, a housewife, is the only daughter of Mr J. Sweet, and eldest daughter of Mrs Y. Bailey of Chard.

Given away by her father, Keri wore a taupe coloured strapless satin bridal dress with a matching bolero jacket and train. Her bouquet was a hand-tied style of cream and orange roses with foliage.

Keri's attendants were Rachel Bailey (bride's sister), Chloe Gardiner and Holli Gardiner (couple's daughters). Rachel wore a chocolate coloured strapless dress and carried a smaller version of the bride's bouquet. Chloe wore an ivory dress with chocolate coloured straps, twisted bodice and butterfly motifs. She carried a basket of the same flowers.

The pages were Kyran Bailey (bride's brother) and Harvi Gardiner (couple's son).

Jason's best man was his brother, Simon Mainwaring.

A reception for 120 guests was held at the wedding venue, before the couple left for their honeymoon in Egypt.

The couple would like to thank the bride's mother, Yvonne Bailey, for the two wedding cakes, to Sue Hill for the top table flowers, and to White Gold of Ilminster for the dresses.
