I DO not understand the picture regarding the arrival of superfast broadband in Chard (The News, March 17).
Were these people attending meetings to progress the roll-out of the rural infrastructure or helping dig holes in the ground to lay the fibre?
Or is this a silly electioneering pose for the Liberal Democrats as we approach May 7 – election day.
My understanding was that the two Chard town councillors (Dave Bullmer and Martin Wale), who are also district councillors, attended many meetings to progress bringing the superfast digital highway to Chard, so why oh why are these people posing when they did nothing at all?
Will we be reading in next week’s paper the solar eclipse was brought to us by the Liberal Democrats?
