GIRLS aged from ten to 15 got their first taste of rugby at a session at Taunton Rugby Clyb yesterday evening, Monday, March 9.
The 'Fillies' section of the Hyde Park based club was launched with 90 minutes of coaching from 6.30pm.
Further sessions with qualified coaches will be held every Monday until the end of the season in May.
A club spokesman said: "The sessions are there to learn and develop all the skills of rugby and to play fixtures against other girls teams once confident and competent."
Anyone interested in attending should contact Dixie Palk at bluephoenix10@hotmail.co.uk or call 07722-798024.
