YOUNGSTERS in the Chard area enjoyed a fun-packed time during half-term thanks to the Kelly Leigh Dance Studio.
It hosted two days of activities including games, crafts and dancing.
Kelly Leigh welcomed 32 children on Tuesday and 27 on Thursday to the Fore Street venue, which is gaining popularity.
Miss Kelly, as she is known in the town, told The News: “On Tuesday we had a great time making pancakes, having flipping contests and then, of course, eating them with some lovely syrup or ice cream. We have a new disco in the studio, so the kids enjoyed that as well as doing colouring and craft-making.
“On Thursday we put on a lot more games, like sleeping lions, and we set up an obstacle course and, of course, there was lots of dancing.
“There is more to the studio than just dancing, we hold a number of classes like self-defence and different groups meet here. We have really tried to put ourselves out there this year and wanted to put on the half-term classes because we all know how costly childcare can be and how hardworking parents can find it at halfterm.
“On the activity days we also offer a free breakfast club which allows parents to drop their children off a little earlier. We all had great fun and we look forward to welcoming them again.”
