HUNDREDS of runners took on one of the more challenging races in Somerset's calendar - the Humdinger.
The half marathon, organised by the Running Forever Running Club, this year started and finished at the Wellsprings Leisure Centre, in Cheddon Road, Taunton, instead of its usual base at Hestercombe.
However, as usual, it included some tricky ascents, with a peak of 700ft.
There was also a shorter five-mile 'Hurtle' race.
