KIND-HEARTED residents at Burnworthy House in South Petherton have given knitted goods to charity for the third year in a row.
This year the care home gave to Heaven’s Gate in Langport, an animal sanctuary which re-homes animals, including about 400 cats and dogs a year.
The knitters made an assortment of blankets and pom-poms which will provide warmth and entertainment for cats and kittens.
Heaven’s Gate representative Sarah collected the items and spoke about her role at the sanctuary.
Burnworthy House manager Karen Roberts said: “The ‘nifty knitters’ is a very popular activity within our care home, attracting more residents since the group started in 2012.
“This is now their third year of knitting items for charity and I couldn’t be more proud of them and what they have achieved.”
