STAFF at Crewkerne Pharmacy are highlighting the importance of children’s health with the new school term underway by reminding parents to remain vigilant about head lice.
Andy McKee, pharmacy manager, said: “It’s really important for parents with school age children to be aware of the risk of head lice.
“They’re extremely contagious, and quite often they will go unnoticed and undetected for at least a month.”
Pharmacies across Chard, Ilminster and Crewkerne should be able to give children a treatment for head lice without an appointment.
