FUNDRAISERS at St Margaret's Somerset Hospice are going bananas next month as part of their ‘Dare to care: Wear it yellow’ campaign.
The team behind the week-long event have been getting into the spirit by trying on yellow outfits.
Marisa Lovell-Fox, of St Margaret’s, is sporting a banana costume from October 6 to 12, She said: “We want to get everyone involved and turn schools, workplaces and local communities into a sea of yellow.”
Participants are asked to wear something yellow and donate £1 to the hospice to help fund much needed care for people with lifelimiting illnesses.
St Margaret’s is encouraging businesses, schools and residents to sign up to ‘Dare to care: Wear it yellow’ and for all individuals who wear yellow to donate £1 by texting YELO11 £1 to 70070.
